My Story
In the middle of the storm... Hope, comfort, understanding, non-judgmental love, friendship, and acceptance are things I needed in the middle of life's storm. I was in a dark place, at times believing I wouldn't get up from there. I say Illuminated Love and Light was created in my struggle at my rock bottom, God showed up and opened my eyes to see not just the pain, not just what happened, not just my shame and embarrassment. But... God showed me himself in a way I am still struggling to share with others today. I did not go to school for photography. I am not a professional by most standards. I am a child of God, who is just a vessel being used to bring light, friendship, hope, love, encouragement, someone to say I have been there and I fight every day just like you do to show up for myself. Self-love is a powerful force, don't underestimate it. I would have never believed that hardship could create beauty, but I am a witness to this beautiful truth. I welcome your struggle and your truth as we stand together a force fighting for tomorrow and resting in the arms of Jesus.
